Our group seeks to approach questions in RNA biology in an interdisciplinary manner by combining state-of-the-art high-throughput bioinformatics techniques with wetlab approaches. To this end, the group leverages its excellent expertise in deep analysis of RNA-Seq data. You will be a key contributor to our wetlab approaches, contributing to the success of the group.

PhD Student in Atmospheric and Ecotone Viral Ecology (m/f/d)
Our new Junior Research Group lead by Dr. Janina Rahlff seeks a PhD student in atmospheric and ecotone viral ecology. In the project, you will combine wet and dry lab experiments to study viral abundance, diversity, dispersal, and interactions with hosts across such ecosystems (rainwater, cloudwater, surface microlayer). The position is envisioned to start in October 2023.
