Description
The product of this gene is a member of the leucine-rich-repeat (LRR) superfamily of proteins. The protein is localized to the centrosome, a non-membraneous organelle that functions as the major microtubule-organizing center in animal cells.
The expression triples 23 h after Ebola infection in human cells, while it stays at a constant level in bat cells. An intron seems to be retained in all samples. An additional exon was found to be expressed after the last annotated exon reaching into the annotation of the downstream gene TPPP.
