Description
The syndecan 4 gene is involved in ECM-receptor interaction, Cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) and Proteoglycans in cancer. In humans it seems to be downregulated in the control and upregulated during ebola and marburg virus infection. In bats, it seems to be also downregulated in the control but stable during ebola and marburg virus infection.
