Description
This gene encodes the enzyme responsible for RNA editing by site-specificdeamination of adenosines. This enzyme destabilizes double-stranded RNAthrough conversion of adenosine to inosine. Mutations in this gene have beenassociated with dyschromatosis symmetrica hereditaria. Alternative splicingresults in multiple transcript variants.
This gene shows no obvious irregularities.
