Description
Homo sapiens spire homolog 1 (Drosophila) (SPIRE1), transcript variant 3 is a Spire protein which re highly conserved between species. They belong to the family of Wiskott-Aldrich homology region-2 (WH2) proteins, which are involved in actin organization.
This gene in hg19 and the RAE transcriptome is nearly equal strong expressed. Between each of the 3 timepoint samples for human and bat, the differential expression is very weak. In HG19 MOCK and marburg samples the expression doesn't change, in contrast to a slight upregulation during ebola infection. For RAE sequencing, all samples show a downregulation between 3 and 7h. For 7 to 23h, the MOCK sample reads decreased, the ebola sample shows equal expression to 3-7h and during the marburg infection, the gene expression is upregulated.
