I am very happy to be working in a group of people who I also call my friends. So from time to time we not only meet at work, but also do some F.U.N. stuff together. Our F.U.N. masters Marie and Lisa are regularly organising events to meet, hang out together, eat or go on fun trips.
This time we decided to go on a bike trip around our beautiful Jena. Many of our team members, and also some of our students met in the morning to cycle to Vollradisroda where we had some nice original Thuringian cuisine for lunch — in particular “Thüringer Klöße”. We picked a perfectly sunny day, so we could enjoy our lunch outside.
On the way back, we cycled through the Leutratal hoping to see some wild orchids, however, we were not very lucky with this. Anyway, the trip was awesome, with great weather, good food and F.U.N. people. In total, we covered 34 kilometers and over 400 meters in altitude. Of course this deserves a nice cold beer as a reward.
